size? x New Balance 577 ‘The Estates Pack’

As you may have noticed this year, size? have been pretty busy celebrating their 10th anniversary. We have seen a number of collaborations between size? and the biggest names in the footwear industry like Nike, Adidas and Puma, as well as several other special releases to celebrate going 10 years strong. The next collaboration for me, is probably my favourite so far, but more importantly the closest to home, being that size? and New Balance in this case are both based in the UK, and by gosh (yes I said “gosh”) they’ve done a stunning job on these 577’s.

Based on English heritage and the two very different ideas of what represent a typical British estate, the shoes work really well together considering the two very different lifestyles they represent. As always, New Balance are on point with materials with a great mix including waxed cotton, felt, leather and quilted nylon. The use of colour is also well thought out, with the Black/Yellow representing the inner city estates and the Olive/Orange for the grand country estates. On the tongue of each shoe features a size? family crest which again rings out ’English heritage’ not to mention that this great pack was made in England in the New Balance Factory.

Again, personally, this is the best collaboration so far from size? and a well done goes to New Balance as well, of course. In all, a really well thought out pack defining everything British.

Palace 2010 Fall/Winter T-Shirt Collection

London Based Skateboarding Label Palace, has released a new series of T-shirt Designs as part of their Fall/winter 2010 Campaign.
From what i can see these are looking really nice, more vibrant than the previous graphics i have personally seen from them. Most of these look to be logo based but the mix of colors with black on a white T is working really well for me. certianly going to try and pick one of these up.

Foot Patrol Re-Opening

London’s Foot Patrol closed down shop in 2008 but is set to be making a come back by opening a new retail space next month. Foot Patrol Now owned and managed by JD Sports, is set to continue where it left off offering exclusive kicks from various diffrent footwear brands.

They were a big name in the sneaker world and in London for a period of 5 years which included several different collaborations with big name brands lets hope that even with the new ownership and management that they will be as big as they where previously.

The Retail space will be located on Berwick Street in London.
