Foamposite madness has found its way to the UK. As some might know, the Air Foamposite is my favourite silhouette in my entire collection. Back in 2010, I wrote a small piece on the ‘Foams’, as they’re nicknamed. Since ‘97 I have worn these shoes and was always told that they looked like space boots. 15 years on, Nike are to release them in all its “outer space” glory, as the Foamposite One ‘Galaxy’.
They are a part of a Galaxy pack to commemorate the NBA All-Star Game this year. A supernova print is applied across the whole upper and the glow-in-the dark-soles are a very cool feature on these too. Before buying these, I urge you all to do your research on them, know the history, know who Penny Hardaway is and you will appreciate them on a completely different level. Do they compare to the original Blue Foamposite ones? Not at all. Will I get a pair? Without doubt!
These are to be released on March 3rd and I for one will be waiting in line for a pair. They’ll be available from Crooked Tongues, Nike Town London and House of Hoops.
