London Fashion Week kicked off Friday last week and it definitely went off with a bang. The first day is always full of anticipation and excitement; no one really knows what is going to be thrown their way. However it’s not only the runway shows that get the crowds talking; it’s the street style as well. You cannot walk two feet without someone shoving a camera at you or you wanting to do the same to them. The crowds at Somerset House were certainly dressed to impressed, from the gorgeously elegant to weird wacky and wonderful. It was my job to capture the best of the best over the weekend just gone by.

Above left: The gorgeous lady showcases simple elegance brilliantly. Simple and understated sometimes make the biggest statements. The lady wore an Erdem top which had been layered over a simple chiffon shirt which adds a quirky edge to her look, which I love. It’s teamed with a chic cream Chanel-esque skirt gives off a sophisticated edge. When it comes to fashion, it’s every last detail that brings the whole outfit together, so the shoes have to be the statement item here — open toe and covered in gems. Dazzling!
Above right: Rock chic done well here. This lady’s vintage leather biker jacket has been revamped with studs and gone sleeveless, giving it a new lease of life. It’s used as a vest over a cute cropped blazer — smart style with a biting edginess. Her worn-in denim carries a lot of character with added touches of vintage patches. She definitely blends rough and smooth together well!

Above left: Fur has been everywhere over the winter season and the weather being the way it is, it looks like it’s here to stay. The fur gilet is the statement piece and I love it, matched with the muted army tones of the rest of the outfit gives of a classically chic outfit.
Above right: So who said it was only the ladies that could be as chic as Vicky B? This chap as it down to a tee — the sunglasses and the oversized bag — its all going on. And I love the attitude and confidence needed to pull off this look. Once again it’s all about the statement fur gilet which gives that extra something to the outfit.

Above left: This was one of my fave looks of the day ,she looks absolutely stunning, channeling Celine and Chloe for this look. The best part of the look is the uber bright lemon yellow top poking out from underneath once again a statement fur coat in a luxurious clotted cream colour — it just adds that extra zing and brings the outfit to life.
Above right: As soon as I saw this outfit it screamed 1940s glamour at me which I adore. The supple silk dress which is the definition of elegance paired with yet another fur stole just adds to air of wealth and glamour which 1940s hollywood was all about.
