It’s another round of anniversaries for iconic sports footwear, this time with British classic, the Reebok Workout.
Celebrating the trainer’s 25th anniversary, fifteen top sneaker boutiques across the globe have been lucky to collaborate on the Workout. One of them being London’s very own Foot Patrol.
Alongside Dutch masters Patta, Japan’s collaboration kings Atmos and Mita, plus Germany’s Solebox, Foot Patrol have done a brilliant job on their behalf. As the shoe was birth in 1987, it’s been popular across all walks of life in Britain and the world all over, being a easy to rock piece of footwear and general simple colour blocking, the aforementioned collaborations had to come in tow for the anniversary.
Foot Patrol’s take on the Workout has been inspired by its own city and The Big Smoke’s perpetual state of grey caused by generally dull and cloudy weather combined with concrete surroundings. A hairy suede grey upper is applied with yellow accents, that represents “the occasional blast of warm sunshine” make a forever winning colourway, while sitting on a gum sole, as the shop put it as “taking the rough with the smooth”. Co-branding of Reebok Classic and Foot Patrol’s recognisable gas mask motif complete the detailing on the tongue tab.
This is in-store now at Foot Patrol for £80. Be quick as there are extremely limited sizes and quantities. Foot Patrol are also stocking the other collaborated Workouts, so peep their site to find out more.
