In August 2010, Nike held the World Basketball Festival in New York to celebrate the culture of basketball. The world’s best international teams consisting of Brazil, China, France, Puerto Rico came to help celebrate the festivities and events taking place with the host nation, USA. From this, Nike have released a pack of Air Force 1’s representing each country that took part.
Each shoe’s built of an all leather upper, with a white leather swoosh and white midsole. Featuring on the tongue is the respective country’s flag, except China’s – which is a dragon and I feel this is a nice twist.
Underneath the shoe sees an iced sole that reveals X’s and O’s all over, it being a reference to basketball team tactics. Furthermore, each shoe has the representative country’s name embossed onto the leather heel tab and silver tipped laces all complete the added to touches shoe.
They’re available now at Foot Patrol for £69.99.
