Back in early April, WeAreHQ had the exclusive look at the first 2 pairs of 10 collaboration shoes that the UK powerhouse trainer store Size? and Nike worked on to celebrate each of the 10 years working together. The first 2 were ACG inspired, the next 3 pairs (3-4-5) were Light Weight Running inspired….
….. Now we move in to basketball heritage!
The Nike blazer is one of my favourite shoes EVER from Nike and over the last few years, the quality and build had changed from the early 2000 models of the retro! They brought out the Blazer ‘73 with the round toe effects which I, and many others, didn’t like. The beautifully oversized “belly” swoosh and the extra panel support on the toe box making it really slimline, was a great feel and look to the blazers!
*** The original Blazer had a few variations over the years from ‘73 until ‘79 when the best version of the Blazer was released ***
Looking at this version of the classic silhouette, I am proud to see the 3 original features from the “better” version has returned!
- Original Belly swoosh is back!
- Original toe box is back!
- Original support panel is back!
The support panel I am talking about runs exactly above the midsole… surrounding the upper of the shoe. This was taken away and replaced with the strange looking thing that just didnt fit the blazer correctly… This makes us happy!
The next thing, is the quality and build of the shoe. Nothing is better on a Blazer than a beautiful full suede or full leather upper! This is executed very well with this makeup. Now the colourway is of course the recognizable Size? colourway of Black/orange and White/Orange and normally shoes with just 2 colours dont get that much love. I think this shoe will change that. The classic look of the Blazer and the simple 2 colour combo on top of the quality of this build… is just perfect!

I have also heard that there will be a very limited colourway of the Blazer being released in September, so stay tuned for that.

[...] The sizable 10th Anniversary Collection from UK retailer Size? continues to grow, adding a pack of Nike Blazer High’s into the expansive collection which includes collaborations with the biggest names in streetwear and footwear. The Blazer’s, set to release later this month, feature different material builds and base colors with one pair constructed from White tumbled leather and two in Black and Orange suede. The White and Black pair share Orange accents on the Swoosh and toe bumper, and on the heel panel which includes embroidery of Size?’s question mark logo.
