WeAreHQ: DC Universe Online Exclusive ‘Who Do You Trust?’

I’m not really an MMORPG (that’s Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Gamer, for those not in the know. Well that what my research told me) type of person, but within the next year there is one MMORPG that I am looking forward to, that I will probably have to break down and upgrade my computer to current gaming levels FOR IT. The game in question is Sony Entertainment’s DC Universe Online.  They are at long last giving us a chance to make our own hero, who will team up with the likes of Superman, Batman, and the rest of the Justice League. This is any geek’s dream!

I do have a few slight reservations about the game. The first is the fact that Sony Online Entertainment is the one who is releasing the game, and their record in the MMO world is not exactly spotless. They were responsible for the fiasco that was Star Wars Galaxies. The second is that they are also converting this to the PS3, and MMOs don’t seem to  have translated that well to consoles in the past. They might ruin the quality of the PC version, by dumbing down the game to the lowest common denominator. I don’t play computer games that much any more but don’t get me wrong; I’m a console gamer, but historically MMOs that have been converted have not been well received.

As long as the makers of this game give plenty of customization, and make sure there is solid gameplay behind it as well, it should be a sure fire winner.

Check out the awesome trailer below, and let us know what you think by giving it the thumbs up!
