A while ago WeAre HQ caught up executive producer of Street Talk Kevin Lanre to speak about his latest web series showcasing the upper echelons of New York City’s street culture and today we are pleased to announce his latest project involving fellow Whorington member and music artist Thai Matic.

If you read The Whorington or follow Kevin on Twitter you would know and have seen how hard he has been pushing and showcasing Thai’s talents and promoting his latest mixtape Let Me Land which was released today. At the end of last month they leaked a teaser video for Thai’s track A Million Answers for people to further anticipate and await the landing.
Whenever I get a new album I tend to listen to it straight through in order to get the full feeling and affect of the music, sometimes I’m dissapointed and press stop before the half way point and sometimes after one track I’m done. However, Let Me Land is something I’ve listened to from start to finish and over again, with certain tracks getting numerous replays.
I was amazed by the versatility of Thai’s music which is apparent in the subject content, production and general mood of his mixtape. His ability to rap over a rock influenced beat on The One and then a reggae track on Must Be Smoking to more mellow and sultry sounds on Kick Rocks shows this as well as his confidence as an artist.
Inspired by musical greats such as Jay-Z, Nas, Rick James and J Dilla, Thai presents an eclectic yet well rounded mixtape. Certain stand out tracks include: Kick Rocks, Once I Arrive and Hold On however, the entire compilation and effort gone into this mixtape is outstanding.
Let Me Land is definitely worth a listen!

Let Me Land is available for free download here and for more information go to Thai-Matic.com and The Whorington.
